Features and Benefits
ISSYS LP Pedicle Screw System features:
» Zero Moment Screw: Center of rotation is at the bone level to better withstand forces on the construct reducing the risk of loosening and breakage.
» Reduced Risk of Fishtailing: Fully seated screw provides better bone to screw interface, while maintaining polyaxial motion of the screw head. Ideal for compromised bone.
» 63% Greater Resistance to Load Forces: Fully seated screws withstand more load across the pedicle when compared to proud screws. Proud screws must withstand much higher stresses at the screw-bone interface increasing the risk of breakage or loosening.
» 60% Greater Medial/Lateral Translation: With the screw fully seated, ISSYS LP pedicle screws have 3.2mm of translation per side requiring less rod bending that weakens titanium rods.
» Controlled Bone Screw Placement: The screwdriver holds the bone screw in a toggle free grip allowing the surgeon to drive the screw straight into the bone.
» System Versatility: Unique saddle pin design allows three rod sizes to be used in one system while reducing the risk of rod notching.
» Optimal Screw Profile: Designed to withstand the higher pullout forces while inserting 40% faster than standard bone screws.
» Low Profile: Allows close proximity to the screw placement.
