ISSYS LP Auxiliary Connectors

 

The ISSYS LP Auxiliary Connectors were designed to provide medial-lateral variability for the ISSYS LP pedicle screw system and for revision applications.   

The Auxiliary Connector system features offset and rod to rod connectors as well as an offset rod to rod connector. The connectors can accommodate 5.5, 6.0 and 6.35mm rods to provide the surgeon with added flexibility.

 
 

Features and Benefits

ISSYS LP Auxiliary Connector system features:

» Medial-Lateral Variability:  Offset connectors allow surgeon construct variability when the anatomy is out of alignment .  

» Increased Flexibility: Connectors can accept multiple rod sizes for intra-operative rod selection and reduces the need to remove existing constructs in the event of construct extension surgery. 
 
» System Versatility: Auxiliary connectors accommodate 5.5, 6.0 and 6.35mm rods


Indications for Use:

The ISSYS LP Auxiliary Connector System is intended to help provide immobilization and stabilization of the spinal segments as an adjunct to fusion of the thoracolumbar and/or sacral spine, specifically as follows:

For pedicular use:

The ISSYS LP Auxiliary Connector System, when used as a posterior screw fixation system in the T1 – S2 region, is indicated for the following:

  • Spondylolisthesis
  • Fracture
  • Deformity
  • Tumor
  • Pseudarthrosis
  • Stenosis

  When used as a non-pedicular fixation system:

The ISSYS LP Auxiliary Connector System, when used as a posterior sacral/iliac screw fixation system is indicated for the following:
   
 
  • Degenerative Disc Disease of the thoracic and lumbar spine (defined as back pain of discogenic origin with degeneration of the disc confirmed by history and radiographic studies)
  • Spondylolisthesis
  • Fracture
  • Spinal deformities such as scoliosis, kyphosis, lordosis
  • Tumor
  • Revision of failed fusion attempts
  • Pseudoarthrosis
