ISSYS LP MONO SCREW SYSTEM
|
| |
The ISSYS LP Monoaxial Screw System was designed to create a versatile low-profile monoaxial screw system for the treatment of thoracolumbar deformity, tumor and trauma through an antero-lateral or posterior approach. The advanced design of this system and instrumentation allows the surgeon to implant the system quickly and easily while providing one of the stiffest constructs on the market to improve patient recovery.

Features and Benefits
ISSYS LP Monoaxial Screw System features:
» Construct Consistency: Staple inserter creates perfectly centered screw insertion holes to ensure a consistent distance between rods eliminating the need to measure for cross connectors.
» System Versatility: Monoaxial screws accommodate 6.0 and 6.35 mm rods
» Reduced Implantation Time: One-step staple inserter simultaneously creates screw insertion holes
» Increased Control: The interface between the monoaxial screw and the non-ratcheting screw driver eliminates toggle providing the surgeon with improved control of screw placement
» Improved Construct Stiffness: Monoblock cross connectors are used to improve construct stiffness
» Easy to Implant: The one-step intuitive friction fit screwdriver mechanism makes implantation easy.
» Simple to Attach: Top loaded snap on auxiliary implant is simple to attach to the rods using the one-step pistol grip insertion tool
» System Simplicity: Color-coded staples, blue for rostral and grey for caudal, along with the pre-assembled cross connector with set screws, make this system easy to implant while reducing the risk of errors.
Indications for Use:
The ISSYS LP Monoaxial Screw System is intended to help provide immobilization and stabilization of the spinal segments as an adjunct to fusion of the lumbar and/or sacral spine, specifically as follows:
For pedicular use:
The ISSYS LP Monoaxial Screw System, when used as a posterior screw fixation system in the T1 – S2 region, is indicated for the following:
- Spondylolisthesis
- Fracture
- Deformity
- Tumor
- Pseudarthrosis
- Stenosis

- Degenerative Disc Disease of the thoracic and lumbar spine (defined as back pain of discogenic origin with degeneration of the disc confirmed by history and radiographic studies)
- Spondylolisthesis
- Fracture
- Spinal deformities such as scoliosis, kyphosis, lordosis
- Tumor
- Revision of failed fusion attempts
- Pseudarthrosis
- Spinal stenosis
